Vladimir Lepin, director general, says that the proposal to improve the weapon has already been made in the context of trial and error, including the removal of "two ways of detonation, as well as provisions for control on both sides, the blow can be changed. ” Lepin said in an interview with Kalashnikov magazine.

The AK-12 is the Russian equivalent of the American M4, or at least it's an iteration of the AK series.

There is no denying that Russia has always been known for its secrets, especially when it comes to its weapons, while the AK line of assault rifles has been the source of arms exports to Russia. If there is a revolution, coup, or junta trying to overthrow the government anywhere in the world, you will probably find the guy in the middle holding an AK.

Hundreds of prototypes and tests later, the AK-12 was approved by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin for mass production and entered service with the Russian military in 2018. like its predecessors, with some exceptions. changes are seen in the front and back, as a single piece of gas vertically attached to the lower part of the front. Not to mention that the gas tube is now permanently attached to the gun itself.

The issue of Kalashnikov (formerly Izhevsk Machine-Building Machine) also improved the fire control of the AK-12, adding two grenades - a "double-click" button - and a semi-auto and full auto.

Additionally, the company has highlighted further improvements to this latest rifle, which it claims is the first in the AK series to feature a free-floating barrel.

"The guard has nothing to do with the barrel, and this naturally improves the accuracy of service rifles," Sandboxx said. Since the hand guard has zero impact on the weapon, it is "very forgiving during combat."

The finished models were called the 5.45mm AK-12 and 7.62mm AK-15 and both were unveiled at the 2016 Russian Defense Exhibition.

Since Russia's "special military action" against Ukraine began earlier this year, some Ukrainian soldiers (and even politicians) have shown off their captured AK-12s on social media. Comparing the two countries, there is no doubt that Russia has (or had) the biggest arsenal. These weapons will become a trophy for the Ukrainians. In addition to AK-12s, some Ukrainians also managed to obtain AK-74s and AK-47M rifles and some RPG-7 rifles. In the photo below of the weapons captured from the VDV (parachute), we only show the non-compliance of the Russian army in the basic weapons. This creates equipment issues when you have guns with different types of ammunition and internal and external parts in your inventory, “Do you need a fixed polymer, extended stock, or solid wood?
